He received his Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Laser Surgery from the prestigious University of California, San Francisco. His residency in Urologic Surgery was received at the University of Ottawa Medical School. He received his Medical Degree at the University of Ottawa, Medical School, Ottawa, Canada.

Dr. McDonald is both an American and Canadian Board Certified Surgeon. He received his liposuction and SmartLipo™ training at one of the leading accredited national and international centers. He successfully completed his training under the direct supervision of a nationally recognized leader in the SmartLipo™ laser body sculpting technology.
